Step by Step
The previous flow was trying to improve speed by including everything on one screen. It ended up having the opposite effect by overwhelming non-tech-savvy volunteers with the price breakdown, payment information, buyer information and discount codes all on one screen.
We broke it down into simple and quick steps to guide them through our flow with ease and confidence, with a clear hierarchy and only one action to complete at a time.
Creating a step-by-step flow also allowed us to track the usage data at each step, and gave us more room for iteration.
